It was designed by Ron Frenz and was inspired by the character of Snake Eyes from the GI Joe comics. The Cobra F.A.N.G toy was released in three different versions: the original 1983 version was packaged with the file card of Snake Eyes and came with a black automatic rifle, a silver knife, and a black stand.
