Jack Skellington is the “Pumpkin King” of Halloween Town, a fantasy world based solely on the holiday of Halloween.

Jack is overwhelmed by the constant repetition of Halloween and longs for something new.

After accidentally opening the door to Christmas Town, he becomes fascinated with Christmas and decides to bring it to Halloween Town.

His obsession upsets the other residents of Halloween Town and leads him to kidnap Santa Claus. Although he means well, his inexperience with Christmas leads to disastrous results.

In the end, Jack realizes that Halloween is what makes Halloween Town unique and that change isn’t always a good thing.

As a result, he sets things right and returns Santa to Christmas Town. 

He embodies the spirit of Halloween while teaching us the importance of being true to ourselves.

Jack Skellington is the embodiment of all that is Halloween. He is tall, thin, and has a distinctly skull-like face.

He is also the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town and takes his responsibilities seriously.

However, Jack has a bit of a dark side. He is often restless and bored with his life in Halloween Town and tends to be impulsive.

As a result, Jack sometimes gets involved in mischievous pranks – like stealing Santa’s sleigh – or reckless pursuits – like trying to take over Christmas.

Nevertheless, Jack is fundamentally a goodhearted person, and his love for Halloween Town and its residents is always evident.

In many ways, Jack Skellington is the perfect ambassador for Halloween: spooky but lovable, dark but ultimately harmless.
