Army of the Dead pleased fans of Zack Snyder‘s work, and it is known that there will be a prequel, but now a sequel has also been confirmed.
The director has already signed with Netflix for the next production, which should help expand the zombie apocalypse universe created by Snyder. At the moment, he is working on Rebel Moon, a sci-fi that should also be released directly on streaming.
The information about the sequel comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which related that the director had signed a contract with Netflix, to whom the work should be offered first.
“My goal and hope are to bring as much quality content as I can and do it on a giant scale. Big projects and big movies,” Snyder said.
Meanwhile, the prequel, titled Army of Thieves, is still in production. In both projects, Zack Snyder is joined by screenwriter Shay Hatten, who is in charge of developing the story.
The film is expected to be released in late 2021, while the sequel has no confirmed release date as of yet.
