NBC released an emotional new trailer for the final season of Brooklyn 99 on Thursday (29).
The video recalls special moments of Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) alongside best friend, Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and some new scenes from the famous 99th precinct of the New York Police Department.
According to Dan Goor, the show’s creator, the eighth season includes recent themes that have impacted the world – such as the coronavirus pandemic and the US protests against police violence against black people.
Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago, told ComicBook that the series is bittersweet, but she is very proud of it.
“I’m very proud of this season. I think it’s going to be a very satisfying finale, and I hope the viewers enjoy it.“
