What are the correct order of Marvel movies and series for those who want to watch everything in sequence as the events occur in the MCU?
Fortunately, Disney+ has a block that serves exactly to keep an always up-to-date answer to that question. And yesterday (11), with the release of What If…?, the timeline order of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has changed once again.
The new animated series takes place between Loki and WandaVision, which makes sense if you remember that Sylvie released the Multiverse in the last episode of the God of Mischief series and what What If…? producer Brad Winderbaum recently said:
“It’s no coincidence that the show picks up right after Loki. The Multiverse has erupted in every possible direction. What if…? gives us a chance to explore that.”
“Each episode is essentially a separate universe. So you could see the moment when, to use Loki terminology, when the universe branches. Each episode kind of explores a story in one of those branches, sometime after that point, where it diverges away from the sacred timeline.”
Still, it can be tricky to fit What If…? into the MCU’s timeline sequence for those who don’t understand how timelines work since it visits different moments in the history of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

For Disney+ subscribers who want to marathon the entire MCU in chronological order, check out the new sequence below, not including Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies or The Incredible Hulk.
While the rights to The Neighborhood Friend are with Sony Pictures, the Hulk movie is owned by Universal, which decides where it will be broadcast. In any case, there is already an agreement in the US between Sony and Disney for Spider-Man movies to be available on Disney+.
