The new trailer for the comedy Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds, was released on Monday (5).

In the movie, the actor plays a bank employee who is constantly robbed and is usually taken hostage. Suddenly, he realizes that he is a non-playable character from an open-world video game and must prevent himself from being shut down.

Between jokes and explosions, the guy in the blue shirt needs to show everyone that he can be the main player and save his world from destruction.

In addition to Ryan Reynolds himself, the film’s cast features names like Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Taika Waititi. The direction is by Shawn Levy, who has directed such films as Cheaper by the Dozen and the Night at the Museum trilogy.

Check out the new trailer below:

Free Guy was supposed to debut in theaters in July, but as with the other 2020 releases, it had its premiere delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. For now, Free Guy is scheduled to open on December 11.
