Disney: The Sword in the Stone: Madam Mim, Arthur, Merlin with Archimedes, and Mim as Dragon 6-Inch With Chase Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures Walt Disney worked on two last films before his death. The last was Mogli, released ten months after his death, but The Sword in the Stone was the last film he worked on that was released while he was still alive. Lightly inspired by Terence H. White's novel, the film presents one of the best adaptations of the King Arthur legend in that it aims to deliver an entertaining story. Rather than trying to deliver a full-scale epic, The Sword in the Stone is actually a good old fashioned coming of age story that chronicles Arthur's evolution from a misled little boy who is called Wart by his foster family, who because of his kindness, intelligence, courage, and loyalty, eventually becomes a good king (or something close to it).
