Emperor's New Groove revolves around the arrogant Emperor Kuzco, a spoiled young man whose only goal in life is to stay 'in the groove'.
One day, he makes the grave mistake of firing his advisor Yzma, a vengeful woman who decides to kill him and take over the throne.
However, the mischievous Kronk, Yzma's assistant, turns the monarch into a llama and, to complicate matters further, the animal ends up in the hands of Pacha, a peaceful peasant who does not like the Emperor at all since he intends to destroy his home to build a summer mansion.
From then on, Kuzco and Pacha get into a lot of trouble while trying to return to the palace and find an antidote that will make the Emperor return to normal.
