Through a live broadcast, the band sang and danced to the rhythm of a line-up of 12 original songs, in an event broadcast directly from South Korea to the computers of thousands of fans - 750,000, to be precise, spread over 100 different countries, thus breaking the Guinness World Record for virtual concert audiences.
This, however, was just one more record achieved. Before that, the group had already managed to establish itself as the first K-pop boy band - the term used to refer to the pop music movement from South Korea - most listened to in the USA; the first band with the most viewed YouTube video in just 24 hours; and to reach the number one spot on iTunes in almost the entire world, a record set by Adele in 2015.
