Stranger Things Black Light Funko Pops have just being released as Target exclusives, now joining previous waves of figures from past seasons.
Set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkings, Stranger Things tells the story of a boy who goes missing and the paranormal events that follow. The main characters are his group of friends who befriended an escaped lab girl with psychokinetic powers.
The success of the series lies in the way it blends the paranormal, mystery, and drama, with phenomenal performances by the actors. In addition, Stranger Things also appeals to nostalgia, paying homage to the pop culture of the 80s.

In 1983, the first season of Stranger Things introduced Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic powers who escapes from a lab while a monster from the Inverted World kidnaps Will. The girl ends up joining Will's friends to help him return to his dimension.
On Halloween 1984, one of the main monsters from the Inverted World threatens to terrorize the citizens of Hawkins. The group of friends then band together to stop it from happening.
In the 1985 version, the group of friends tries to survive the romances born between them while realizing that evil is still lurking.

After two long years of waiting, Stranger Things is returning for its fourth season sometime in 2022.
The series is currently filming, and it seems that things are getting darker and darker - even more so for Eleven, who in the third year ended up "losing" his adoptive father, Jim Hopper (who is apparently alive in Russia) and having to move with Joyce to another town, away from Hawkins.

It's worth noting that several cast and production team members, such as Joe Keery and Finn Wolfhard, have openly talked about how the season will be "the darkest of the series so far. From the looks of it, horror will take center stage, leaving our beloved protagonists with a big problem to solve.
