Television: The Simpsons -  Glowing Mr. Burns Glow-In-The-Dark (GITD) With Chase Glow Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure - Previews Exclusive The tenth episode of the eighth season was a gem among gems in one of The Simpson's best seasons. Leonard Nimoy, who would later become almost a regular guest, opens the episode with an introduction to this mystery show, telling us the story that happened to a certain bald guy from Springfield. We see good old Homer walking home out of obligation after having had one too many Duff beers. Then, he encounters a strange,  glowing green alien who wants to deliver peace and love. Homer fails to get his family to believe him, getting mocked by Bart with his Aljon from Mars. Only Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from the FBI seem to be the ones interested. Funko Pop! Television: The Simpsons -  Glowing Mr. Burns Glow-In-The-Dark (GITD) With Chase Glow Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure - Previews Exclusive Many of the gags from this 1997 episode are still remembered to this day, such as the lie detector gag: "Homer, do you understand how this works?" "Yes." "Kaboom!" as the machine explodes. Other jokes come from Marge, who thinks the FBI is coming for her because of a pencil she took from the Post Office; Moe and his dark history with a smuggled whale; Grandpa Abe with a turtle that steals his teeth; or the lineup with famous aliens like Alf, Chewbacca, and Kang. In addition, we can see some rather far-fetched nods to the series, such as the presence of the Cigarette Smoking Man in the background of some scenes. Even with such exceptional guests, the weight of humor still falls on the main characters of the series, being almost anecdotal the appearance of the agents, which anyway made this episode a much more memorable one. The episode closes with the mysterious alien being a dazed, drugged, and radioactive Mr. Burns and, with a song, "Good Morning Starshine," sung by much of the cast, including Chewbacca, Alf, the agents, and Dr. Spock himself.
