Renner spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the debut of Steinfeld’s character, explaining how the dynamic between the two Hawkeye Archers will play out, which should be one of the highlights of the series.
According to the actor, Bishop is a sort of fan of Hawkeye, taking inspiration from the hero to the point of taking his place when duty calls.
“She a 22-year-old kid, and she’s a big Hawkeye fan. She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life,” he explained.
With this remark from the actor, we can see that the relationship between the two characters should set the tone of the series, with a lot of learning and companionship.
