The new episode of Hawkeye is full of moments that mirror Avengers: Endgame and Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff’s own story, as well as having quieter, funny scenes with the Avenger and Kate Bishop.

Hawkeye‘s fourth episode, however, manages to do all of this in such a natural and excellent way that each of the Christmas clichés and references works very well and only adds value to the story.

And what’s the best way of celebrating the holidays? In some ugly Christmas sweaters, of course!

Clint and Kate Funko Pops are now available for pre-order at the links below. They’re expected to be shipped real soon!

It’s no secret that Kate Bishop, played in the Hawkeye series by Hailee Steinfeld, is an essential member of the Young Avengers team created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung in the early 2000s.

In the fourth episode, “Partners, Am I Right?”  we got the first hint to a possible team appearance in years to come.

The new episode, which aired this Wednesday (8), finally brought the expected appearance of Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, in a scene that recreated the first contact between Clint (Jeremy Renner) and Natasha (Scarlett Johansson).

She appears at the end of the episode cornering Clint Barton in an excellent fight scene also involving Kate Bishop and Maya Lopez.

And as much as she said absolutely nothing and showed her face for only a few seconds, it was enough to get everyone excited about her appearance.

Yelena’s return to the MCU was something that had already been Marvel’s promise in the Black Widow post-credit scene, so seeing her on the Hawkeye series doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise.

That’s because, in her movie debut, she discovers that Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) has died because of Hawkeye, and the idea that she’s going after Barton to avenge her sister is left hanging in the air.

For that very reason, her presence in Hawkeye was only a matter of time.

Except that brings up a lot of questions that must be answered in the following two chapters of the series, and that should define not only Barton’s future but Yelena’s own within the MCU.
