The eldest son of an extended family massacred by an oni, Tanjiro Kamado, is the story’s protagonist. To find a cure for his sister, he chooses to follow the path of the Oni Hunters.

He trained for years with the master Sakonji Urokodaki before joining the Demon Slayer Corps.

He meets other hunters in his adventures and develops a sincere friendship with Zenitsu and Inosuke. He knows how to masterfully coordinate his friends’ forces to gain an advantage in combat.

His most remarkable trait is his generosity, which flourishes even against the most hostile demons. He can empathize with everyone he meets.
