Almost 14 years ago, Lil Wayne officially released "Lollipop," one of the most iconic hip-hop hits of the last decade. The song, which served as the first single from the classic album "Tha Carter III," stayed for 5 weeks at the top of Billboard.
In an interview with Fox Sports' Darnell Smith, the rapper heard a sample of the remix of "Lollipop," the single that reached the top of the charts in 2008 and didn't recognize it.
Lil Wayne confessed that he doesn't remember writing the lyrics to one of his biggest hits. What's more, the guy was surprised by his own talent.
“I said that?!” asked a surprised Wayne. “I don’t know when I said it or why I said it…but I said it.”
