At the end of Season 2, Mando won the Darksaber – the highly coveted Mandalorian blade by Bo-Katan Kryze on her journey to reclaim the throne of Mandalore – from Moff Gideon.

However, he could not simply hand it over to Bo-Katan. And tensions rose when it became clear that she and Mando would have to duel for her to claim it.

This plot should be picked up in The Mandalorian season 3, as Luke Skywalker’s unforeseen appearance hampered any further developments at the end of the season.

The Mandalorian season 3 was delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But now it was finally confirmed for the 2022′ second half.

So far, Lucasfilm has kept details about the new episodes a secret, but one rumor suggests that a large group of Mandalorians may show up in response to Din Djarin’s call.

New characters with different uniforms may be seen in upcoming chapters if the information is accurate.

In addition to Pascal – who is currently working on The Last of Us series – in the protagonist’s role, Carl Weathers also returns as Greef Karga.

The director and executive producer of the series said that “the Force will be strong” in the new episodes. This may suggest that Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker will also return to the new season.
