2022 New MoM: Defender Strange Funko Pop! Exclusive

The new Funko Pop! Marvel Studios: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Defender Strange Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure – Walmart Exclusive reveals the enhanced look of Defender Strange, another variant played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the movie. (Available below – Click to jump!)

The first Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer confirmed that Cumberbatch would play several versions of the powerful sorcerer. He was shown playing an evil Stranger, similar to What If…?‘s Strange Supreme.

However, it is revealed that the film will include another variant of Strange: Defender Strange. The trailer briefly showed him falling into the multiverse, but now a clear view of Defender Strange’s design has surfaced as a Funko Pop!

The Defender Strange variant is clearly a new version of the sorcerer based on his time as a member of the Defenders in the comics.

The team created by Roy Thomas and Ross Andru in 1971 saw Doctor Strange team up with Namor and Hulk. They fought side by side against various threats, and although they didn’t want to be an official team like the Avengers, they continued to work together when required.

The ranks of the Defenders eventually evolved to include Silver Surfer, Clea, Valkyrie, and others.
