Yeti is a monster who lives alone high in the Himalayas, having long ago been banished from the monster world. When he finds Sulley and Mike lost in the snow, he shelters them and offers them lemon cones, which they refuse because of the cold. 

In Monsters University, it is discovered that he worked at Monsters Inc. as a mail supervisor and was banished for opening other people’s mail.

In Monsters At Work, it is revealed that Waternoose banished him since in the mail he opened was a letter containing the evil plans of the scream extractor.

To prevent them from being revealed, he was banished to the Himalayas, but when Sulley became the company’s CEO, he frees him from his exile, where he begins selling ice cream.
