While his origin story has been retconned several times, the essentials remain the same: Maxwell “Max” Dillon is a talented electrical engineer who is transformed into a living battery after a freak accident.

Using his powers to commit crimes, Dillon adopts the name “Electro” and sets out to destroy Spider-Man. Electro has remained a fan-favorite villain for over 50 years thanks to his electrifying powers and iconic appearance.
