Little was known about what made this armor so special for a long time. But in The Mandalorian series, we begin to unravel its secrets. First and primarily responsible for its uncanny properties is the Beskar alloy’s unusual composition.

Beskar is a highly resistant metal alloy developed long ago by Mandalorians as a means of fighting the Jedi Knights.

It can resist the damage of the most widespread weapons in the galaxy, such as blasters and even lightsabers. For this reason, the plates of Mandalorian armor are made of Beskar to this day.

During the season two finale of The Mandalorian, the title warrior, Mando, gathers a group of brave fighters and strategists to storm an imperial ship to defeat the evil Moff Gideon and rescue tiny Grogu who was kidnapped by Moff Gideon earlier in the season.

However, they run into an unforeseen problem after successfully boarding the ship. Moff Gideon’s army of robotic Troopers is ruthless, mighty, and seemingly indestructible.

After facing only one Dark Trooper, Mando has a tough job for him, but he has one thing on his side: his Beskar steel. The Dark Trooper cannot break through the protective covering despite landing punch after punch on Mando’s helmet.

Eventually, Mando is able to defeat the Dark Trooper entirely with his Beskar staff!
