Bam Bam Bigelow was one of the most recognizable characters in World Wrestling Entertainment during the 1980s and 1990s – and not just because of his gigantic stature, but also because of his skills in the ring.

He famously donned trunks featuring a flame motif and became known as “The Beast from the East” due to his hometown being New Jersey.

His high-flying maneuvers were impressive for such a heavy-set wrestler, something he achieved by using springs in the ring to give him that extra lift.

It’s hard to imagine the legendary Bam Bam Bigelow without hearing his iconic roar. After all, it was one of the most recognizable soundbites in professional wrestling history.
