Diamond Select: The Lord of the Rings Deluxe Series 4 Action Figures

The journey continues, with another series of detailed action figures based on the Lord of the Rings film trilogy! The Lord of the Rings Deluxe Series 4 Action Figures by Diamond Select Toys has just been unveiled.

The Lord of the Rings is an excellent landmark in world literature and cinema. The work created by J.R.R. Tolkien eventually became a famous Hollywood trilogy that won nearly twenty Oscars. More than that, it has left a lasting mark on pop culture, introducing us to classic and iconic characters.

Gandalf the Grey makes his debut in The Lord of the Rings line, with his staff and his sword Glamdring. The other figure in the assortment is a customizable Uruk-hai Orc, including multiple interchangeable heads and weapons. Each features over 16 points of articulation, and each comes packaged in a full-color window box:

When it comes to the Lord of the Rings, Gandalf is often a fan-favorite character in the movies and books. The wizard has become a reference in role-playing games and stories inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s work. Powerful, funny, and wise, Gandalf shows throughout the narrative that he is not perfect. In the movies, the character was played by Sir Ian McKellan, who eternalized the gray (and white) wizard for good.

The Uruk-hai were a line of orcs created by Saruman in the Third Age in Mordor. According to Gandalf were supposedly a cross between humans and goblins. The Uruk-hai first appeared in 2475 when they invaded Ithilien and took Osgiliath.

Unlike the other orcs, they were almost as tall as men, had long straight legs, and did not weaken in sunlight. They were black and possessed clenched eyes. By their obvious advantages, the Uruks considered themselves superior to other orcs.

They were once Elves, mutilated and tortured by the Lords of Darkness. Slaves to Sauron’s will. Uruk-Hai were extremely cruel and savage. They were relentless, and hatred was their only feeling. They had no emotions at all. They did not fear death and thought only of killing.
