While it was great to see the returning characters doing what they do best, Jurassic World: Dominion also introduced some new characters to the franchise.

One of them is the rogue pilot Kayla Watts, played by Dewanda Wise. Kayla is a pilot involved in transporting dinosaurs on the black market.

Kayla is a cynical and rude type who reluctantly helps Owen and Claire.

Her arc in the film resembles that of iconic characters such as Han Solo or Indiana Jones, where she must learn to be heroic and selfless.

Kayla is one of the most interesting new characters in the Jurassic franchise, and fans hope to see more of her in future films.

In Jurassic World: Dominion, a direct sequel to the 2018 feature film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, four years after the destruction of Nublar Island, dinosaurs now live – and hunt – alongside humans around the world.
