Smee is one of the most compelling characters in Peter Pan. He's not a bad guy, but he's not a good guy, either. He's just kind of... there. But that's what makes him so fascinating. He's not your typical villainous sidekick.
He's not evil or even particularly mean. He's just a bit of a bumbler, making him all the more endearing.
He's clumsy, forgetful, and often prone to causing more problems than he solves. But that's part of his charm.
