Funko Pop! Animation: Demon Slayer – Funkoween 2021

Funkoween 2021 reveals the new Demon Slayer Funko Pops, inspired by the adventures of demon slayer Tanjirō Kamado, who has been winning over more and more fans around the world. Demon Slayer fans will be especially happy with this HUGE wave, finally unveiling its full line of Pop! toys based on the popular anime series.

Written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series that follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who wants to become a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. It’s one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

The plot shows a young boy named Tanjiro who works to help his family, consisting of a mother and several siblings. One day he goes out to conduct a sale far from home, and when he returns, he finds almost all of his family members died at the hands of onis (Japanese demons).

The only survivor is his sister Nezuko, but she seems to have been contaminated by demons and is about to turn into an oni, although she still retains her human side.

While seeking help to save his sister, Tanjiro bumps into a warrior named Giyu, who belongs to a group of demon exterminators. Using unexpected skills and talent with his incredible sense of smell, Tanjiro convinces Giyu that he will prevent Nezuko’s transformation into an oni that attacks humans.

Giyu is eventually impressed by the fight with Tanjiro and guides him on becoming stronger while seeking a cure for Nezuko.

One of Japan’s latest big hits in theaters is the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film, which continues the saga of the characters seen in season 1 of the anime Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba in the original).
