Son Gohan, also known only as Gohan, appears in the second part of the manga, which corresponds to the Dragon Ball Z anime. Gohan is the son of the protagonist Goku and his wife Chi-Chi, and the first hybrid between human and Saiyajin shown in the series. His name is a tribute to his father’s adopted grandfather, Son Gohan, a student of Master Kame, just like Goku.
