One thing My Hero Academia does very well and spends a lot of time on are the intricate rankings that define how all the professional heroes compare.

All of the notable characters are ranked somewhere on the billboard lists, but Fat Gum ranks 58th, which feels pretty low considering the power it contains.

There is no doubt that FatGum is one of the strongest heroes in the series, but the exact parameters of this power sometimes change.

Many characters in My Hero Academia are defined by their exaggerated appearances, many of which are determined by their Quirks. FatGum is no exception and is a character known for his gigantic appearance. However, Fat Gum can burn this fat and get to the muscle, which causes his body to adapt and become lean.

When FatGum becomes thin, his eyes, teeth, and entire facial structure are entirely different from before. It’s an entertaining transformation sequence, but the way FatGum then fluctuates back to his larger weight not long after, which shouldn’t be such a smooth process naturally.
