In the beginning, all was darkness. However, unknown entities brought the Light. After a while, the darkness fought back. This caused the light to split into 7 different colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

The White Lantern Corps possess the White Light of Life and can bring someone back to life. Their ring protects and heals them from any attack, no matter how deadly.

The first member of the White Lantern Corporation was created when Sinestro of Korugar joined with the Entity, the very incarnation of life.

The White Lantern Corps, simply called White Lanterns, is an organization of lanterns linked to the specter of life. Despite the brief appearance, they are considered to be the most powerful organization in DC Comics.

The corporation was used as a last resort after the strong attack of the Black Lanterns on the universe. Since Nekron was expanding like a shadow throughout the universe, every hero and villain unite to defeat him, merging all the power rings in one manifest to the Entity of Life.

The first to use the white power ring was Sinestro of Korugar, who was involved by the power of life itself, but firmly pulled back by Nekron with the help of the black hand, but not before the ring was rescued by Hal Jordan.

Hal used the power of his entire ring to save the primary bearers of the black lantern ring, restoring to life almost the entire league, including the anti-Monitor himself and other aliens possessed by the curse of death, thus putting an end to the Darkest Night.
