Everything indicates that the film will show a bit of the origin of the character and how she was transformed into a frightening villain. This transition can be seen in the trailer, even though the film appears to be only a prequel to the original 101 Dalmatians story.

However, those who believe that Cruella will not have her own rivals and arch-enemies are mistaken. We already know that the film’s main antagonist will be a woman identified only as The Baroness – who in turn will be played by Emma Thompson.

We still don’t know what role this character will play and how she will rival Cruella. However, from what we could see in the trailer, it seems that the protagonist will have some pretty deep disagreement or rivalry with the Baroness. The latter appears to be involved in the fashion world, which motivates her throughout the film.
