Miguel's faithful squire is Dante, a dog of the Xoloitzcuintli breed, better known as Xolo. He is considered the symbol of Mexico and has its origins in the Aztec civilization, which believed that this dog was a spirit guide that took the souls of the dead to the next world. The breed's name is a homage to the Xolotl god, who stands for fire and light. They are practically hairless and have trouble keeping their tongues in their mouths due to their few teeth. They are pretty docile.  Alebrije Dante GITD Gunko Pop! from Coco Animated movie is available now at the links below (click to jump!)
