Tiana is Disney's first black animated princess and is the protagonist of the film The Princess and the Frog (2009).  The film follows the story of Tiana living in New Orleans, USA, in the 1920s. This is the most contemporary princess story, as she does not come from royalty. Her family is poor, and she has to work two shifts as a waitress to save money to fulfill her dream: open a restaurant. For a gal with no interest in becoming a princess, Tiana sure makes a great one! Celebrate the headstrong, ambitious, and all-around kind-hearted character with this POP! Tiana refuses, but Naveen promises to reward her financially. She thinks that this money might help her realize her dream of owning a restaurant, so she kisses Naveen. Thus, she turns into a frog as well. Together, Tiana and Naveen go on several adventures in their quest to become human again.
