Funko POP! Game Cover: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – Sonic

The new Funko POP! Game Cover: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – Sonic Funko Pop! Vinyl figure – GameStop Exclusive, features Pop! Sonic and the game cover art are packaged together in a protective case that can be hung on a wall.

Regarded as one of the best Mega Drive games, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was critically acclaimed soon after its release in 1992.

With versions for multiple platforms, it got a special remastered one for Android and iOS in 2013, headed by Christian Whitehead, with improved audio and frame rate at 60 fps.

At the time, the game innovated with new elements that popularized the series – such as the addition of Tails and Super Sonic – and would make Sega finally go head-to-head with Nintendo in the console war of the 1990s.

The Sly Cooper Funko Pop! Game Cover perfectly represents our blue runner, complete with stylish sneakers. He looks just like the video game character, which is probably why I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy took off running… It’s now available for pre-order at the links below and is expected to be released on June 11, 2021.

The remastered version of Sonic 2 for smartphones features a new scene at the end of the game. It only appears, however, after collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds.

In the scene, it is possible to see the Death Egg falling in flames from the sky and colliding with Angel Island, the initial stage of Sonic 3. At another point, it is possible to see Knuckles watching Dr. Eggman from behind a bush.
