But to his misfortune, he was mistaken for a gang member by the police on his first mission. He was saved by Black Widow (at the time his girlfriend), who recruited him in her fight against Iron Man. As time went by, Hawkeye left his life of crime, cleared his name, and went on to fight alongside the Avengers. The series will take place in 2025 - two years after the defeat of the villainous Thanos in Avengers: Endgame - and the plot will use the hero's original comics as its basis, focusing on Bishop's training and transformation as the next archer so that Barton can finally retire.
