Beneath Gambit’s persona lives Remy LeBeau. Kidnapped as a child, Remy was eventually raised by the head of the clan of thieves. There was a prophecy that he would be responsible for uniting the thieves clan and the assassins clan. And this almost happened.
Remy went on to earn a living by stealing and even serving as a mercenary on rare occasions. Everything changed when he met Ororo Munroe and joined the heroic world of the X-Men.
