In the 1970s, when the first Star Wars was making a huge success in theaters, George Lucas tried to sell Mattel the rights to manufacture toys inspired by the film, but the company’s president at the time simply refused. Seeing that they had made a big mistake, the company that created Barbie set out to create their own franchise. Sometime later, He-Man and his friends appeared.
By the powers of Grayskull! We know that He-Man’s powers come from Grayskull’s castle, but who was Grayskull anyway? That is revealed in the comics. Grayskull was a legendary hero of Eternia, and He-Man is his direct descendant by father’s side. Like He-Man, Grayskull also had a feline mount, called the Warrior Lion, and used the magic sword to fight evil.
