With a franchise comprising six films and two spin-offs, Sigourney gives life to Ellen Ripley, the protagonist of the Alien franchise in the first four films. Then, we can say that she is as famous as the saga, and quite possibly, this is her most famous work.
The first film in the saga, Alien – The 8th Passenger, is set in 2122 when the space tug Nostromo receives a distress call from the desert planet LV-426. The seven crew members on the tugboat work for the Weyland-Yutani company and are traveling from Thedus to Earth carrying a shipment of tons of ore.
The crew decides to respond to the call for help, and there they make the first contact with a Xenomorph Alien. The event led to the death of the rest of her crew and the destruction of the ship. Ellen Ripley’s discovery of the creature would change the course of her life and plague her for the rest of her existence.
