Funko POP! Movies: Mortal Kombat – Scorpion (Action Pose)

From the 2021 live-action film Mortal Kombat comes fan-favorite Sub-Zero. The Funko POP! Movies: Mortal Kombat – Scorpion (Action Pose) Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure – Walmart Exclusive is expected to be released in June 2021 and is already available for pre-order at the links below.

Perhaps even more famous than Sub-Zero, Scorpion is one of the most iconic characters in gaming. The Japanese ninja, alias of Hanzo Hasashi, is part of the Shirai Ryu clan, the Lin Kuei rivals. His origin is quite tragic. After having all his colleagues and family members massacred, Hanzo was also killed – but returned from the afterlife with infernal powers and a desire for revenge.

Sub-Zero, still known as Bi-Han, was one of the original fighters present in the first Mortal Kombat in 1992. As Kuai Liang, the character was introduced in the second game in 1993. Since then, Sub-Zero has been featured in almost every other game in the franchise, including a special appearance in MK vs. DC Universe and DLC in Injustice 2.

In the movies, Scorpion is played by Hiroyuki Sanada. The Japanese actor has an extensive resume, both in Japan and Hollywood. Trained in karate since the age of 11, Sanada can move between action pieces and intense dramas.

The premiere of the Mortal Kombat movie is scheduled for April 15.
