Fall Out Boy is a suburban band from Chicago, created in 2001. The public chose the name at the band’s first concert. It is inspired by a character from The Simpsons TV Series and has a reference to a band called “Shadow Night,” which is not very known around the world but has a good career on the roads…
While Fall Out Boy’s music had typically been described as pop-punk and pop-rock, the band was generally seen in the mid-2000s at the forefront of the “emo pop” explosion. Take This to Your Grave has often been cited as a vital project for pop/punk music in the 2000s.
