Funko Pop! Sanrio: Gudetama X Nissin
Funko partnered with Nissin and Sanrio to bring to life the most lethargically cute Gudetama Funko Pops! Gudetama is an adorable, lazy egg that seems just to want to be left alone… always! He loves to be rocking in his shell, lying down and covered in his bacon blanket, or just lounging in his egg white.
We are sure you already know Gudetama, Japan’s laziest little egg. The name “Gudetama” is a play on words in Japanese where “gude gude” describes a person with no energy and “tama” comes from “tamago,” which means egg. The personality of this little yolk represents all those feelings that come over you on Monday mornings and keep you from getting up early.
But what goes together better than an egg and a bowl of ramen? Gudetama and Nissin Top Ramen! The dream combo sees the Sanrio egg and the beloved instant ramen in three distinct pops:
- Gudetama in Shell Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure
- Chicken Gudetama Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure
- Gudetama in Boat Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure
It makes an excellent gift for that lazy friend, just to have a good time!
These unique pops are now available for pre-order at the links below.
Gudetama is a character from Sanrio, the creators behind Hello Kitty, Keroppi, My Melody, Pochacco, and Kuromi. In 2013, the company launched a contest on its rankings page called “Food Character Election,” in which fans would vote for the top 20 food-based characters.
The top vote-getter would be promoted to Sanrio’s main character lineup. Gudetama won the contest and joined the family, along with KIRIMI-chan, who came in second place.
Like a good upper-level character, he has very active social networks. He is present on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, and his comments leave no one indifferent
