Funko Pop! Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Hooded Ahsoka Tano with Duel Sabers
The Hooded Ahsoka Tano with Duel Sabers Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure – Amazon Exclusive is included in the new wave of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Funko Pops! unveiled today.
Ahsoka is a Jedi warrior trained by none other than Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. In Star Wars canon, this phase took place between the films Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith – before Anakin became the villain Darth Vader.
She never actually completed her training, but although she was not an “official” Jedi, she was consistently recognized as one. George Lucas and Dave Filoni created Ahsoka. She was introduced to the Star Wars universe in the animated series The Clone Wars in 2008. Since then, she has gained more and more fans thanks to her strong protagonism and battle style.
The new pop features Ahsoka Tano, hood pulled over her montrals and striking the pose of a warrior who’s ready for battle. “Her pose, with the slight twist of her torso and the way her robes flow around her body, is just to die for.” – Reis O’Brien. That’s something collectors won’t miss for sure.
The Funko Pop! Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Hooded Ahsoka Tano with Duel Sabers Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure is Amazon Exclusive and is now available for pre-order at the links below. It is expected to be released on October 15, 2021.
Ahsoka Tano uses two white-colored lightsabers and has appeared in Clone Wars movies, books, and comics. Her weapon is this color because Ahsoka purified the Sith’s red saber crystals until they became white.
In addition, Tano is one of the voices that Rey (Daisy Ridley) hears in her mind as she concentrates with the Force in the final act of The Rise of Skywalker.
In other words: as much as Ahsoka Tano was not included in the original trilogy or even in the new trilogy of Star Wars films, her importance in the saga as a whole can be equated to that of other characters, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With strong Force sensitivity, Ahsoka is one of the first SW characters to learn that Anakin is Darth Vader. In episode 13 of The Mandalorian, the character played by Rosario Dawson says she has seen “what such feelings can do to a fully trained Jedi Knight.” Tano refers to his former master Anakin in this conversation with the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) about Grogu (or Baby Yoda).
