Making quality humor is tricky. Making a joke about politics is not for everyone. To make a comedy about a part of the American government that almost nobody knew about is even more complicated.

In the format of a fake documentary, the plot follows the routine of the Parks and Recreation Department workers in the fictitious town of Pawnee. Technically, the head of the department is Ron Swanson, but since he hates all things government-related, it is deputy director Leslie Knope who gets the job done.

The story begins when she decides to turn a large hole across the street from Nurse Ann’s house into a park, and the two become best friends.
