Funko Pop! Television: Seinfeld – Jerry Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure has just been unveiled as a Target Exclusive.
It’s not about love; it’s not about dysfunctional families or residents with existential crises. Seinfeld is not about cops or drama, much less about vampires or psychopaths. Even less is Seinfeld about a group of friends and their relationships.
No, no, and no. It is not about anything. Or rather, it is about nothing. Confusing? Seinfeld is one of the best (and I would venture to say the best) TV shows ever produced. You ask me: why? I answer you: for nothing.
Advertised as “the best show about nothing,” obviously some elements had to be introduced to the plot, such as quirky characters with ridiculous characteristics. The sitcom, which premiered in July 1989 – first as “The Seinfeld Chronicles” – on the American network NBC, aired nine years from its pilot. Throughout the 1990s, Seinfeld was a fever among Americans, securing NBC’s primetime slot and gaining fans all over the world.
