The plot takes us to the beginning of the zombie apocalypse: a time when the world was changing rapidly due to causes as yet unknown; before anyone could understand exactly what was happening. A time in which existence, as everyone knew it, was transformed and altered in ways never before imagined.

The challenges to overcome are immense in the face of a chaotic spectacle of a crumbling civilization. Fear the Walking Dead is the journey that documents the end of time, dramatizing the fearful disintegration of society through the eyes of a dysfunctional yet united family.

The story focuses on Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma only to discover that the world has been devastated by the zombie apocalypse. Rick then aims to search for his son and wife and try to survive in the new world.

But the beauty of The Walking Dead and what sets it apart from other stories in the zombie genre is that it focuses on the relationships between the survivors more than the terror of the monsters that threaten them.

Although it is a franchise that is not afraid to shock its audience with sensitive themes and brutal events, the inner drama of the characters remains central, reminding everyone that sometimes the living is more dangerous than the dead.

The latest season, which will premiere on August 22, will include 24 episodes and will be divided into three parts – it will run until the end of 2022. The zombie universe will, of course, continue. Besides the spinoffs that are already on the air, there are other projects in the pipeline.
