Margot Robbie: ‘Suicide Squad is the Greatest Comic Book Movie Ever Made’

The hype for James Gunn‘s Suicide Squad is bigger than ever, and Margot Robbie, the Harley Quinn, has made her contribution to it.

The actress said in no uncertain terms that this is the greatest comic book movie ever made, which raises expectations even higher. This will be her third time playing Dr. Harley Quinzel, but the character promises to come in a unique way.

In an interview with Access, Robbie talked about the reasons to see the movie in theaters, sparing no praise for the work, which she classified as something worth seeing, to say the least.

“Even if this movie wasn’t as incredible as it is, it’s still worth going to the theater just because it’s so nice to be able to go to a movie theater again. But it just so happens that this is arguably one of the greatest if not the greatest comic book film ever made and you don’t want to miss it!”

The new movie seems to have an even more unique flavor for Harley Quinn. In the first Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer, she appears still attached to and dependent on the Joker.

In Birds of Prey, she is still adjusting to the breakup, but now it seems that the criminal has taken control of her own life.

Star Wars: Mark Hamill Has Been in Every Star Wars Film Since 2015

Mark Hamill revealed on Twitter that he has appeared in every Star Wars film production since 2015 – even those in which his traditional character in the saga, Luke Skywalker, does not participate. This was possible, according to the actor, by working as a voice actor.

Last Wednesday (21), Hamill replied to a tweet from Wookiepedia, the virtual encyclopedia made by Star Wars fans, which pointed out that he had dubbed the android EV-9D9 in a The Mandalorian episode. The eternal Luke was quick to say that this was not the only “hidden” presence he had done.

“Did you know… I voiced multiple secret voice-cameos in every StarWars movie released since 2015? The sequels, Han Solo and Rogue One,” he wrote.

Some of these “secret characters” are not so secret. We know that Hamill is the voice of Dobbu Scay, an amphibious-looking alien gambler, in The Last Jedi; and that he was the Boolio resistance miner in The Rise of Skywalker.

Last year, Hamill even revealed what alias he used for these special appearances: William M. Patrick. The name, chosen after the actor’s two brothers (he has not, to this day, revealed where the “M.” comes from), appears under the “additional voices” credit in the Star Wars films in which Hamill is involved.

“It was never about having my name at the top of the credits, or about the paycheck. For me, it’s always been about the fun, about the fans, and simply because I love easter eggs!” he wrote at the time.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond Season 2 Gets Teaser and Premiere Date

The second and final season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, a spin-off series of The Walking Dead, has been given a premiere date: October 3.

The date was revealed this Saturday (24), during Comic-Con@Home. At the beginning of the panel, a new video for the series showed some new faces.

At the meeting, executive producer Matt Negrete talked about the decision to end the series. “Scott and I have always viewed the series as a closed, shorter story,” he said. “It’s always nice to know your ending and to work toward it. It’s very satisfying.”

The series tells the story of the first generation that grew up in the face of the zombie apocalypse through the unique point of view of a group of young people – sisters Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Hope (Alexa Mansour) and their friends Elton (Nicolás Cantú) and Silas (Hal Cumpston) – who, in search of answers about life and the world, leave their safe and comfortable place to face the living and undead dangers of this universe.

The series also stars Annet Mahendru as Huck, Nico Tortorella as Felix, and Julia Ormond as Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth, the leader of the CRM, a para-military organization working on a controversial project to rescue society.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is produced by AMC Studios. Matt Negrete is the showrunner and executive producer alongside Scott Gimple.

Watch! The Walking Dead Season 11 Trailer Released Today!

The 11th and final season of The Walking Dead just got its first trailer during a panel at Comic-Con@Home.

The preview is packed with tense moments, with survivors back in Alexandria, appearances by the villainous Reapers, and apparent complications in the Commonwealth, a community of survivors more organized than any we’ve seen so far.

At the end of the trailer, a sequence shows a sort of propaganda of the territory, with soldiers wearing armor — one of them, in the last seconds, appears holding Eugene (Josh McDermitt).

According to McDermitt, Eugene will be in conflict over his capture at the beginning of the season: “He’s doing this for the people back home in Alexandria, but I think he’s also starting to feel the guilt of his friends getting captured and starts questioning if he did the right thing.”

The Walking Dead showrunner Angela Kang even gave a preview of what to expect from the Reapers, introduced in the final of season 10. “What sets them apart is that they are incredibly skilled, from before the apocalypse,” she explains. “They are the pinnacle of human killers, they are a very formidable type of enemy, and they don’t rely on numbers.”

The 11th and final season premiere on August 22, but the end of The Walking Dead won’t be until 2022, as a total of 24 episodes will air, divided into three parts. According to producer Scott Gimple, the first will air this year, and the others next year.

When asked about the end of the series, Gimple said that it holds strong emotions. “It’s a big story, with and it takes a lot of turns. We’re going to give the audience an epic, extended goodbye that will do justice to the series since it’s over ten years [on the air].”

Angela Kang, meanwhile, said she is excited for fans to get to see the actors’ work. “The zombies are fun, the action is fun, but this is a series about people, and that’s what I’m most excited for.“

The Harley Quinn actress explained a rather bizarre story involving the wrestler, something even he himself didn’t know, and that she was in doubt whether to tell him or not. In the end, this must have been cause for a lot of laughter on the set.

In a Jimmy Kimmel Live show appearance , Robbie explained that she had a relationship with a huge John Cena fan, who used to have a life-size, cardboard picture of him in his bedroom.

“I was with a guy who was obsessed with John Cena, so much so that he dressed as John Cena for his 21st birthday and had a cardboard cutout of John Cena in his bedroom. So I slept in a room for two years with a life-sized cardboard cutout of John in the room!”

According to Robbie, she was in doubt whether to tell the story to the wrestler when she started working with him on James Gunn‘s film.

“I’m just gonna keep that to myself, I’m not going to tell him, that would be a weird way to start our working relationship and friendship, and then five seconds into meeting him I was like ‘I used to sleep in a room with a life-sized cutout of you!’,'” she said.

Suicide Squad Has a Lot of Killing! Suggests James Gunn

Suicide Squad will live up to its name. At least, that’s what director James Gunn argues in a new behind-the-scenes video of DC’s latest release. See it below.

Suicide Squad will use some of the same characters from David Ayer’s original 2016 feature, such as Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney). Still, it won’t have as many connections to the predecessor’s plot.

The movie draws inspiration from the group’s 1980s comics, written by John Ostrander – who even appears in the first trailer – and Kim Yale. Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6.

Army of Thieves: Zack Snyder’s Prequel Film Gets Its First Trailer

Army of Thieves, a derivative of the Netflix hit Army of the Dead, got its first teaser during Comic-Con@Home.

The reveal came during the SDCC panel, where Army of Thieves was described as a “romantic comedy with robbery and zombies” by Barbara Snyder, the film’s producer.

With the presence of the director and protagonist Matthias Schweighöfer (who played Dieter in the original), Army of Thieves was compared by Zack and Barbara to The Italian Job, a 1969 British comedy caper film. Like the first film in the franchise, the new movie combines several genres with the zombie apocalypse as a background.

The film will be released in 2021, but no date has been confirmed.

In the trailer, we can see our favorite thief, Dieter, in what seems to be the beginning of the end, or rather the beginning of his career.

Matthias Schweighöfer has once again been chosen to play the character to whom the safes hold no secrets, showing how he was recruited into the world of crime. The world is distracted by a zombie outbreak that is now beginning to emerge. It’s the perfect time for the Army of Thieves to enter the scene!

In addition to Emmanuel (“Fast and Furious 7”) and Schweighöfer (“The Red Baron”), the cast also features Stuart Martin (“Miss Scarlet and the Duke”), Guz Khan (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”), Ruby O. Fee (“The Invisibles”) and Jonathan Cohen (“Budapest”).

It is worth remembering that actress Evangeline Lilly, who plays the Wasp in the film, had already confirmed earlier this year that recording would begin in July.

In addition to Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will feature the debut of Kathryn Newton (“Big Little Lies”) as Cassie Lang, and Jonathan Majors (“Lovecraft Country”) has been confirmed as Kang the Conqueror.

The film officially hits theaters on February 17, 2023.

Black Widow: Kevin Feige Backs Red Guardian Spin-Off Idea

Red Guardian has been one of Black Widow’s most praised characters, and many people are calling for his return in the future.

Kevin Feige, the CEO of Marvel Studios, seems to agree with the suggestion. He would even like to put in place some bolder ideas, such as a fight between Alexei Shostakov and Sam Wilson, who is the actual holder of Captain America’s mantle, in a much-anticipated showdown.

The Marvel boss participated in an online screening of Black Widow with fans, making comments and answering questions via Marvel Studios’ Twitter.

Asked initially about a possible return of Red Guardian, Feige replied that he would like to see him back as well but ended up detailing that in another post.

When a fan asked about a possible showdown with the new Captain America, Feige tagged actors Anthony Mackie and David Harbour, returning the question.

“I’d like to see that…how about you guys?” before quoting Sam Wilson and Shostakov. I wonder if we will one day see this epic battle between the heroes…

Disney+ Unites Loki and Bart Simpson in a Short Film

In a very special event, Disney+ will unite the Marvel universe with the fun world of The Simpsons. Curious to see Loki and Bart together?

Disney+ will unite Marvel with the Simpsons world in a peculiar crossover, albeit in short film mode. The Good, Bart, and Loki will premiere on the streaming platform as early as July 7. It’s exclusive that brings together the banished God of Asgard and Springfield’s mightiest heroes, including the Simpson family.

In the new short film, Loki is banished (again!) from Asgard, but nothing prepares him for his toughest opponents ever: the people of Springfield and the Simpsons. The God of Mischief will join forces with Bart Simpson in a show that aims to pay homage to Marvel’s cinematic universe of superheroes and villains.

Tom Hiddleston, the actor who brings Loki to life, is confirmed as the voice of the Asgardian God. The poster, meanwhile, presented for the first time this week by Disney+, is a clear homage to one of the most successful films, Avengers: Endgame.

The Good, Bart, and Loki is the second in a series of Disney+ shorts from The Simpsons that highlight the landmark brands and titles of the streaming service. The first was the Star Wars-inspired short film starring Maggie Simpson, The Force Awakens From Its Nap.

Loki is currently one of the big new additions on the platform, continuing with its original series to be broadcast every week, with new episodes on Wednesdays.
