Iron Studios presents Scorpion and Sub-Zero Statues, inspired by the most bloody videogame saga ever: Mortal Kombat.

The two statues are perhaps the most iconic and recognizable characters among all the available fighters, namely Scorpion and Sub-Zero, engaged in their eternal duel between fire and ice. The style is classic, seen in the first chapters released years ago.

Armed respectively with Kunai and an ice sphere, the two statues have the highest quality details, and the small scale should not mislead. Made of resin in 1:10 scale, are hand-painted, and the details maintain a very high level, as Iron Studios has already gotten us used to.

The base of Scorpion is full of skulls, lava, and bloody bones, while the warrior holds the faithful Kunai, ready to be fire towards the rival. Sub-Zero is no less menacing: On a base of stone, ice and skulls, the ninja is prepared to throw an ice ball, showing in his other hand a skull with his own spine still attached, while his icy gaze scans his opponent.

This is also one of the most anticipated battles of the movie about to be released in May, promising many brutal scenes, making fans even more anxious. It’s Sub-Zero versus Scorpion in the ultimate battle until death!

Iron Studios Scorpion and Sub-Zero Statues are expected to be shipped in January 2022. Pre-orders are already live at the links below.

Scorpion Art Scale 1/10 – Mortal Kombat

Iron Studios presents the ninja spectrum of Mortal Kombat

From the depths of the Netherrealm realm, the infernal underworld of Mortal Kombat, one of the most cultured and legendary warriors, resurfaces in search of revenge. On a rustic base of desolate ground formed by rocks, magma, skulls and bones at his feet, the lethal ninja, with spectral eyes, clenches his fists on the rope of his Kunai, his characteristic harpoon-like weapon, ready to launch and shout “Get Over Here”, capturing the opponent and bringing him close to him, executing him with his fatal blow.

Added to the collection that will bring the powerful Shao Kahn, the monstrous Goro and the immortal Raiden, previously announced, Iron Studios presents it’s eagerly awaited “Scorpion Art Scale 1/10 Statue – Mortal Kombat – Iron Studios”, accurately capturing the essence one of the most present and popular characters in the series, and one of the few that debuted in the first Mortal Kombat arcade game, and appears in all versions of the game on platforms.

His real name was Hanzo Hasashi, in his human form, and was killed by Bi-Han (Sub-Zero), having been reborn two years later as a ninja specter. Scorpion was once a member of the Japanese ninja clan Shirai Ryu and was codenamed for his deadly abilities. His most original movements are with his Kunai spear and the infernal fire. When masked, Scorpion appears human, although this is only an illusion because when revealing his true self, only his skull appears as a head sometimes on fire. Scorpion was played by Chris Casamassa in the first adaptation of the game in theaters in 1995, and returns in 2021 now played by the famous Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada in the long-awaited new Mortal Kombat movie.

Sub-Zero Art Scale 1/10 – Mortal Kombat

Iron Studios drops the temperature with a new Mortal Kombat statue!

Having the ability to control the cold in different ways, the blue-and-black-dressed ninja prepares to fight, leaning on the steps of the base of a temple in Outworld, his devastated world, where the skulls of ancient fallen warriors share space with sharp translucent ice stalagmites at his feet.

While invoking his freezing power with his right fist, he makes any opponent’s blood freeze just by displaying, in his left hand, what remains of those who challenged him before.

The temperature drops as tempers heat up, with one more of Mortal Kombat’s most famous characters arriving to expand the collection with the “Sub-Zero Art Scale 1/10 Statue – Mortal Kombat – Iron Studios”, another one of the few original characters present in each version of the games, alongside Scorpion, he was the character that most appeared in all versions of Mortal Kombat and is added to the collection along with Raiden, Goro, Shao Kahn, and his rival Scorpion, in the MK line, from Iron Studios.

In the franchise’s history, two men assumed the identity of Sub-Zero, the first was Bi-Han, Scorpion’s great rival and responsible for his death, the second is his brother Kuai Liang, both members of Lin Kuei, a Chinese clan of Outworld ninjas. During the tournament, Bi-Han was killed by a vindictive Scorpion and resurrected as a ninja specter, and the cycle of revenge is perpetuated when Kuai Liang, who also dominates the cold element, takes his brother’s place as a second Sub-Zero to eliminate Scorpion. The French martial artist and actor, François Petit played Sub-Zero in the 1995 film “Mortal Kombat”. In the 1997 sequel “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation”, his younger brother was played by Keith Cooke, as the second Sub- Zero, and now Joe Taslim brings the freezing ninja to life in the long-awaited 2021 Mortal Kombat.
