Sam first appeared in 1945, and since then, he's been making audiences laugh with his fruitless efforts to catch that "wascally wabbit," Bugs Bunny.
Sam is the perfect example of a "lovable loser." His endless pursuit of Bugs is both amusing and endearing, and it's easy to root for him even as he hurls dynamite and shoots up the place.

Knighty Knight Bugs has everything the classic films have: chases (with one of the most characteristic opponents of the sarcastic rabbit: Yosemite Sam), blows (hammerings, falls, incinerations, ...), juicy secondary characters (those ridiculous Knights of the Round Table, the dragon with sneezing problems, ...) and funny gags.
And also the mythical Friz Freleng at the helm, ensuring the quality of this medieval, humorous and violent delirium.
When old King Arthur asks his cowardly knights to retrieve the Singing Sword from the clutches of the evil Black Knight (who is none other than Yosemite Sam), they refuse, arguing that he has a fierce fire-breathing dragon.
Arthur ends up sending the court jester (effectively, Bugs Bunny) after the sword, who will have to deal with the grumpy redhead... once again.
