Disney Reveals Teaser Trailer for Pixar’s Turning Red Movie

Disney has unveiled to the world the first trailer for Turning Red, Pixar’s first big movie for 2022 and is scheduled to premiere on March 11, 2022.

The project is directed by Domee Shi, the Oscar winner for Bao, the 2018 short film, and produced by Lindsey Collins (“Looking for Dory”). The trailer gives the first glimpse into this animated world, spotlighting the main character and introducing us to her unusual powers. However, so far, little is known about the unfolding story of this adventure.

In addition to the trailer, the studio also revealed the first post from the feature film, highlighting the main character in his very endearing bear form.

Rosalie Chiang was the young actress chosen to voice Mei Lee, “a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS).”

The remaining cast of original voices also includes Sandra Oh (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Killing Eve”), who voices Ming, “Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.”

Ryan Reynolds is back in Free Guy, his new movie, and Hugh Jackman has taken advantage of the upcoming release to make fun of his friend.

The “rivalry” between the two has become legendary, with “barbs” being exchanged all the time, always in jest. And this time, even the film’s director ended up participating, even without wanting to.

In his Twitter profile, Jackman posted a photo where he appears next to Shawn Levy, director of Free Guy. According to him, the problem is that it was a party given by the director, to which Reynolds was apparently not invited.

The post was widely laughed at by all involved. Poor Ryan Reynolds!

“What’s that, Shawn Levy? You forgot to invite Ryan Reynolds to your party? Mate, your secret is safe with me. And… post!” the Wolverine actor wrote.

The Exorcist: Gordon Green Plans a Trilogy With Ellen Burstyn and Leslie Odom Jr.

The Exorcist reboot, which was already in pre-production by Blumhouse Pictures under the direction of David Gordon Green (“Halloween”), will actually be the beginning of a new trilogy of films in the saga.

In the production, Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn (“Requiem for a Dream”) will reprise the same role in the original 1973 film directed by William Friedkin. She will be joined by “A Night in Miami” Academy Award nominee Leslie Odom Jr. (“Hamilton”).

As Ellen Burstyn‘s return indicates, the new trilogy will be a direct sequel to the acclaimed original film. Leslie Odom will bring to life the father of a child possessed by the demon. Desperate for help, he seeks out the character of the Oscar winner, whose daughter, Regan (Linda Blair), was a victim of the same evil in the 1973 production.

At least initially, the reboot is not expected to touch on the subsequent films of The Exorcist since Burstyn was not in them.

Jason Blum will produce the new trilogy alongside Morgan Creek’s David Robinson, who owns the rights to The Exorcist franchise.

According to The New York Times, Universal and streaming service Peacock have purchased the trilogy in a mega-deal valued at more than $400 million. The first film in the new series is expected to be released in the second half of 2023, a year after the conclusion of the Halloween trilogy, also directed by Gordon Green.

While no further information on the new trilogy of The Exorcist is available yet, the collaboration between Blum and Green will soon return to screens with Halloween Kills The Terror Continues, a sequel to 2018’s Halloween that opens on October 15. The dive into the Michael Myers psychopath franchise ends on the same date in 2022, with Halloween Ends.

The Harley Quinn actress explained a rather bizarre story involving the wrestler, something even he himself didn’t know, and that she was in doubt whether to tell him or not. In the end, this must have been cause for a lot of laughter on the set.

In a Jimmy Kimmel Live show appearance , Robbie explained that she had a relationship with a huge John Cena fan, who used to have a life-size, cardboard picture of him in his bedroom.

“I was with a guy who was obsessed with John Cena, so much so that he dressed as John Cena for his 21st birthday and had a cardboard cutout of John Cena in his bedroom. So I slept in a room for two years with a life-sized cardboard cutout of John in the room!”

According to Robbie, she was in doubt whether to tell the story to the wrestler when she started working with him on James Gunn‘s film.

“I’m just gonna keep that to myself, I’m not going to tell him, that would be a weird way to start our working relationship and friendship, and then five seconds into meeting him I was like ‘I used to sleep in a room with a life-sized cutout of you!’,'” she said.

The Ratcatcher, played by Daniela Melchior, is one of the highlights of The Suicide Squad, but she definitely doesn’t come alone.

James Gunn commented on the large number of rats that the villain brings along with her, estimating the number of animals. He also talked about two main rats, who always accompany the actress in most of her scenes.

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the director commented that about 300 thousand rats were used, which can be seen in some trailers scenes.

Also notable are the names of two mice, the main ones, who “played” Sebastian, the main companion of the Ratcatcher.

“We have a couple of good actors. We have a rat by the name of Jaws that we worked with a lot. And then a rat by the name of Crisp Rat, who is named after my friend Chris Pratt. They were our two main active rats that played Sebastian, the rat in the movie. And then we have about 300,000 other rats,” he said.

The character stands as the second in line to the “Ratcatcher,” a classic DC villain who is part of this version of Suicide Squad.

Sean Gunn will play the role of the Weasel. In the comics, John Monroe was a lonely young man constantly teased by his college classmates.

After graduating, he becomes a professor and sees several of those who teased him in high places. Embittered, he assumes the identity of the Weasel and, combining his agility with an outfit with sharp claws, kills three people at the university. In his participation in the Suicide Squad in the comics, he creates a rivalry with the Thinker.

Actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has expressed his opinion on the main differences between his character, Black Adam, and Superman from DC’s Extended Universe.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about Jungle Cruise, The Rock was asked if Black Adam will have the same abilities as the Man of Steel. He reinforced that the character has an advantage – he is capable of using magical powers!

“Black Adam has all the powers of Superman, but the difference is he is blessed with magic. And also, by a code of ethics in the world of superheroes, they don’t kill the bad guys, but Black Adam does,” assures Johnson.

Despite the lack of information about the film and the distant release, it is hard to say whether Black Adam will meet Superman in person.

The first season of Loki still has details that fans have yet to discover – at least that’s what director Kate Herron claims.

Beyond the story of the God of Mischief, the show is shaping a version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) moving forward into the multiverse.

In a new interview with Buzzfeed, Herron made a revelation about just before the ending of Loki. “The one I would say is — it’s less Easter egg and more cool story-wise,” she says.

“So, at the very end of the finale, when Loki is in this alternate TVA, there’s a character that runs behind him and is going to the armory, and people should listen to the voice. It’s very quick, but it’s someone familiar.”

Although the director did not reveal further information, there are already theories that she may be referring to Casey becoming a Hunter rather than a simple office officer – Eugene Cordero is even listed as the Hunter in the episode credits.

Still, it has yet to be confirmed if this is what Herron was referring to.

The producers of Lucifer are developing a Pokémon live-action series for Netflix’s streaming service!

Netflix is in the early stages of developing a project based on the popular Pokémon universe. The writer behind this new adventure is Joe Henderson, producer and screenwriter, responsible for series like Catch Me If You Can, Lucifer, and 11.22.63.

Over the years, the brand has already been adapted to various formats. Originating in a video game franchise for Nintendo, the world of these monsters has made its way to the pages of Manga, to television through several anime series, and to the cinema, with several animated films and a live-action project.

Reports say the series aims to replicate Detective Pikachu, a 2019 urban fantasy comedy-mystery live-action Pokemon movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith.

Detective Pikachu was produced by Legendary Entertainment and had the distribution power of Warner Bros. However, when it hit the big screen in 2019, the film failed to find enough audiences to deserve a sequel. However, the project’s success on streaming platforms promises to breathe new life into this live-action vision.

The Pokemon live-action series is reportedly very early in development, and there are neither plot details nor casting plans in place.

Soon, Pikachu and his friends will return to the gaming world with Pokémon Unite, a project scheduled for release in September 2021.

Currently, Henderson is preparing the premiere of the sixth and final season of Lucifer, which is scheduled for September on Netflix.

Although director Kate Herron won’t be returning for Loki season two, she makes sure to have some ideas directed at the frighteningly cute mascot Miss Minutes.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Herron was approached about the prospect of making a slasher movie centered on TVA mascot Miss Minutes following the character’s jump scare in episode 6.

Herron replied with a laugh, “I would love to! That would actually be my dream.”

Miss Minutes’ first appearance was still in the Loki pilot as part of the Temporal Variance Authority (TVA) video presentation.

However, the rest of the season brought her back in rather bizarre moments for a – supposedly – artificial intelligence.

So far, it is unclear whether she also exists in the new AVT timeline, to which the God of Mischief has been sent.
