How Disney Celebrates Christmas

Disney in Orlando is one of the most magical and enchanting places in the world, frequented by tourists at all times of the year, especially at the end of the year due to the Christmas celebrations in the park. The festivities are filled with decorative items, themed attractions, and featured characters.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas is Disney’s official Christmas party at the Magic Kingdom park between November and December. The park is decorated with Christmas-themed decorations and filled with Christmas trees, snowmen, and Christmas items.

This party takes place after the park closes to the general public, so a separate ticket is required. Visitors can enjoy most of the Magic Kingdom attractions with shorter lines, take pictures and interact with several characters, win gifts, as well as watch a beautiful fireworks show and Disney’s most beautiful parade.

Christmas at Magic Kingdom

Even if you cannot attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the entire Magic Kingdom park is decorated for Christmas. The park receives several Christmas trees, garlands, wreaths of flowers, and Cinderella’s castle receives more than 200,000 twinkling lights.

In addition, some special events also take place, such as the show Frozen Holiday Wish with the characters from the movie Frozen. In this show, Queen Elsa “freezes” Cinderella’s castle.

Christmas at Epcot

Epcot park is also decorated at Christmas time. Every year, starting in late November, it hosts the International Festival of the Holidays event.

This event brings together the main Christmas traditions from various cultures around the world. Several areas of the park are decorated with elements from each culture, and thus it is possible to understand how Christmas is celebrated in several countries around the world.

Christmas at Hollywood Studios

The “Flurry of Fun” event takes place at Hollywood Studios park. In addition to the Christmas decoration, several events also take place, such as on Sunset Boulevard. The Sunset Seasons Greetings is an end-of-year show featuring entertainment, snow, lights, and other special effects.

If you are a Toy Story fan, in Toy Story Land, you can find the characters from the movie, such as Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang, in festive costumes.

The park also features the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam! fireworks show, which includes projections of classic Disney cartoons in front of the Chinese Theater.

Christmas at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is full of great stores, restaurants, and attractions. This area gets into the Christmas mood at Christmas time with unique decorations, DJs playing theme music, and snow (foam) showers. During this time of the year, the stores receive cool-themed products.

Another attraction is the Christmas Tree Trail, a Christmas tree trail with different themes, such as Disney classics. In addition, you can also meet and take pictures with Santa Claus, who is located in the Marketplace.
