Loungefly Disney Villains: Alladin Jafar Scene Wallet
This striking Disney Villains Aladdin mini backpack and wallet looks just as magnificent from ‘Jafar’ as it does close up…
Resplendent in his iconic black and red get-up, this Jafar Scene set from Loungefly is packed full of villainous vibes as Jafar looks upon a scene of ‘diamond in the rough’ Aladdin about to set foot in the Cave of Wonders.
Packed full of treasures and magical artifacts (including a certain lamp), this is one cave you want in on. I love the finishing touch of a golden scarab beetle printed on the back. I recommend you proceed…

This dark wizard from Agrabah is one of Disney’s most notorious and famous villains. With his twisted beard, maniacal laugh, and serpentine staff, Jafar is unmistakable as a malicious magic-user.
He seduced and bewitched the sultan and possessed phenomenal cosmic powers. What more could a villain ask for, or could we ask of a villain?
Jafar certainly has a distinctive look and personality, doesn’t he? The character had many different influences, but one of his real-life inspirations was actor Conrad Veidt’s portrayal of Jaffar, the evil wizard from The Thief of Bagdad. From his costume style to his facial hair, there are several notes of Jafar in this character.
The facial features, dark clothing, and mystical behavior echo back to the animated character. It definitely makes us want to watch the original film to see more of this familiar face.
Another source of inspiration for the character was animator Marc Davis’ drawings for Maleficent. Disney’s infamous Mistress of All Evil is undoubtedly a source of villainous characteristics, so it’s no wonder that Jafar took some cues from her. Although he doesn’t possess her feminine graces, there are some traces of her in his design.
His fluttery clothes and choice of magical weapons mimic Maleficent magnificently. Both are conjurers who transform into giant reptiles. Both wield the power of fire and are quick with a verbal punch at the hero. It seems that Jafar has definitely learned from the best.
