Loki Director Teases About Secret Detail No One Has Figured Out Yet

The first season of Loki still has details that fans have yet to discover – at least that’s what director Kate Herron claims.

Beyond the story of the God of Mischief, the show is shaping a version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) moving forward into the multiverse.

In a new interview with Buzzfeed, Herron made a revelation about just before the ending of Loki. “The one I would say is — it’s less Easter egg and more cool story-wise,” she says.

“So, at the very end of the finale, when Loki is in this alternate TVA, there’s a character that runs behind him and is going to the armory, and people should listen to the voice. It’s very quick, but it’s someone familiar.”

Although the director did not reveal further information, there are already theories that she may be referring to Casey becoming a Hunter rather than a simple office officer – Eugene Cordero is even listed as the Hunter in the episode credits.

Still, it has yet to be confirmed if this is what Herron was referring to.

Ghostbusters Afterlife: New Trailer (New Generation Gets Into Action!)

The sequel to the two original Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, got a new trailer this Tuesday (27). The preview shows a pair of youngsters who take on the responsibility of capturing spooky hauntings when their town is invaded.

For now, we know little about the film’s plot, but director Jason Reitman has already said that it is a new story, with new characters and a new setting. In the movie, we will follow the family of Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) as they discover his legacy as a Ghostbuster and about an afterlife.

It is expected to feature, in addition to the main cast, actor Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”) in an unknown role and promises to also bring appearances by some stars from the original films.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman, who himself was director of the two original features. In addition to Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver, the cast includes Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Carrie Coon.

Loki: Director Comments on Captain America’s Possible Nexus Event

In Loki, we learn that so-called Nexus events are significant changes in the “sacred” timeline that end up creating other realities.

Loki’s escape with the Tesseract at the Battle of New York is an excellent example. But doesn’t the fact that Captain America went back in time to be with his beloved, Peggy Carter, set up the same kind of crime?

For Kate Herron, Loki‘s director, it depends on the point of view. She talked about it in an interview with The Direct and made a point of saying that her opinion on this is that of a fan, not someone who sets the rules.

“People are going to be annoyed because it’s not a definitive answer, but also I can only really answer as a fan, right? My theory is this: It comes down to if you’re an optimist or a pessimist.

If you’re an optimist, maybe it was okay [for] them living that way, and the branch wasn’t so severe that it didn’t need to be pruned, and that meant that they could stay together.”

Herron then continued her theory, talking about the “pessimists,” a group she says she fits into. And she concluded:

And then the pessimists [think], ‘They probably got pruned (laughs).”

Superman: Michael B. Jordan is Working on a Val-Zod Series

Michael B. Jordan, known worldwide for his Black Panther and Creed performances, would be developing a live-action Superman miniseries.

According to Collider, the production, intended for HBO Max, will center on Val-Zod, a version of the Man of Steel from the so-called Earth-2. The project is being handled by Jordan and his production company, Outlier Society, and will not be related to the film produced by J.J. Abrams.

Outlier Society has already hired a screenwriter for the production. Jordan, who is preparing to make his directorial debut on Creed III, will be one of the leading producers, but his presence in the cast is not yet certain.

Val-Zod was created in 2014 by Tom Taylor (“The Suicide Squad,” “Nightwing”), Nicola Scott (“Birds of Prey”), and Robson Rocha (“Aquaman”) and first appeared in Earth-2 #19.

Like Kal-El, Val-Zod was sent to Earth by Jor-El to escape the destruction of Krypton and was rescued by Terry Sloan, who offered him shelter and protection in a secret room at Arkham Asylum. After defeating an evil clone of the original Superman – killed by the Steppenwolf – Val joins the new Wonders group as the new Superman of Earth-2.

Suicide Squad: James Gunn Tested Several King Shark’s Voices

Sylvester Stallone’s King Shark is one of the big attractions of Suicide Squad, but James Gunn had trouble finding the right voice.

In motion capture, the character was played by Steve Agee. Still, to bring him to life, the director tested several performers, despite having Stallone’s name in mind since the project’s original conception.

During a press conference, Gunn talked about the difficulty in finding the right voice for King Shark, saying that working with him was more complex than with Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.

“We had one voice actor come in and do the whole movie. It didn’t work. We had another voice actor come and do the whole movie. He didn’t come to life. We had an actor — an actor who’s a really fantastic actor, who’s also a friend of mine — come in and do the voice, and that didn’t work. And then I was like, ‘Guys, I don’t know what to do. I think I have to go to Sly.‘ And I called up Sly. He said he would love to do it. And he came in, and right away that character just sort of came to life,” he said.

According to Gunn, the role was written for Stallone, but he and the studio were wary of contacting the star on the first try for fear that it wouldn’t work out. In the end, Sly turned out to be the solution.

The last episode of Loki brought moments of extreme importance for the future of the MCU. And it may have brought a reference to the Fantastic Four, according to some more diligent fans.

While nothing has been confirmed, the moment, which takes place early on, seems to indicate that the upcoming arrival of the superhero family is closer than ever at Marvel.

Right after the opening, with the various voices from the MCU and the story, one last sentence can be heard. The first man to set foot on the moon is astronaut Neil Armstrong, saying his famous line, “one small step for man, one big leap for mankind.”

And the image shows a gold-colored spacecraft crossing space, something fans believe is the “debut” of the Fantastic Four.

This is not the first possible reference to the core family in a Marvel series. For example, in WandaVision, there was dialogue quoting astronauts working for S.W.O.R.D., who some fans believe to be Reed Richards, Ben Grimm and Johnny, and Sue Storm.

Peacemaker: Release Date and First 3 Episode Titles Revealed

The premiere date for the Peacemaker series, starring John Cena, was released today (26) by DC. Peacemaker will debut his standalone series on HBO Max on January 16, 2022.

In addition to the release information, it was also revealed that the first three episodes will be released together, with the other five following on a weekly basis. In addition to the Peacemaker release date, it was also shared the titles for the first three episodes of the series:

Peacemaker is centered on John Cena‘s character in the new Suicide Squad. In addition to Cena, the series will feature Danielle Brooks (“Orange Is the New Black”), who will play Leota Adebayo, an unreleased character whose details have not been revealed, and Chris Conrad, who will be the Vigilante.

James Gunn (“Suicide Squad” and “Guardians of the Galaxy”) wrote all the episodes but left the directing to Jody Hill, Brad Anderson, and Rosemary Rodriguez.

The Ratcatcher, played by Daniela Melchior, is one of the highlights of The Suicide Squad, but she definitely doesn’t come alone.

James Gunn commented on the large number of rats that the villain brings along with her, estimating the number of animals. He also talked about two main rats, who always accompany the actress in most of her scenes.

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the director commented that about 300 thousand rats were used, which can be seen in some trailers scenes.

Also notable are the names of two mice, the main ones, who “played” Sebastian, the main companion of the Ratcatcher.

“We have a couple of good actors. We have a rat by the name of Jaws that we worked with a lot. And then a rat by the name of Crisp Rat, who is named after my friend Chris Pratt. They were our two main active rats that played Sebastian, the rat in the movie. And then we have about 300,000 other rats,” he said.

The character stands as the second in line to the “Ratcatcher,” a classic DC villain who is part of this version of Suicide Squad.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn revealed in an interview with Collider that filming for the movie would begin in November in Georgia. According to Gunn, the script for the new MCU film has been finished for years.

“It’s basically been finished for years. I keep fiddling with different things and adding things and figuring out permutations and stuff — I’m in the middle of doing another draft now — but it’s really small stuff in comparison to what it has been. It’s basically been finished since three years ago,” the director said.

Despite Gamora‘s death in Avengers: Infinity War and the inclusion of a new version of her in Avengers: Endgame, James Gunn explained that Marvel did not ask him to include anything new in the characters’ story.

“The only time they ever [asked me to include something for future MCU movies] was on the first movie with Thanos, putting Thanos in there. Which they wanted me to do. But besides that, they’ve never done that.

I have to pay attention to things that happen, which they did talk to me about – the stuff with Gamora and things like that.

I know that the characters have been through certain things, so I have to deal with that stuff. But for the most part, they never once asked me to put anything in the script for Volume 3 to set up anything in the future. Nor would I do it, frankly, it’s not really my thing.“

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release in 2023, and the franchise will also have a Christmas special and Baby Groot shorts.

Loki Director Jokes About Making a Miss Minutes Movie

Although director Kate Herron won’t be returning for Loki season two, she makes sure to have some ideas directed at the frighteningly cute mascot Miss Minutes.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Herron was approached about the prospect of making a slasher movie centered on TVA mascot Miss Minutes following the character’s jump scare in episode 6.

Herron replied with a laugh, “I would love to! That would actually be my dream.”

Miss Minutes’ first appearance was still in the Loki pilot as part of the Temporal Variance Authority (TVA) video presentation.

However, the rest of the season brought her back in rather bizarre moments for a – supposedly – artificial intelligence.

So far, it is unclear whether she also exists in the new AVT timeline, to which the God of Mischief has been sent.
